This is my paper after I printed it, but I had to do another two steps to make specific rectangles one inch with more bold border around these rectangles to show one inch up, and I will share you this in another post.
I do this too! If you knit a swatch before you make the paper, you can even make the rows and columns the same proportions as your knitting, so you get a REALLY accurate idea of how something will look. You can use the paint function in Excel to "draw" colors in before printing, too, so you can make your own professional-looking intarsia or fair-isle charts!
